review your vocabulary words! know the definitions for median, altitude, kite, trapezoid, parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, rhombus!
Construction Practice
- draw a medium sized acute triangle in the middle of your paper. label it LUV. construct the perpendicular bisector of LU, UV, and LV. highlight all 3 perpendicular bisectors. they should ALL intersect at ONE point!
- on the back side of your paper, draw a medium sized triangle in the top half of your paper. label it MTH. construct the angle bisectors of angles M, T, and H. on the bottom half, construct a perpendicular through a point NOT on the line. highlight all 3 angle bisectors! they should all intersect at ONE point!
- make sure you complete these 3 constructions and do so ACCURATELY!!! that means nice, crisp, clean arcs. no smudges. make sure your pencils are sharpened. make sure when you swing the arcs that your compass doesn't move.
